We’re thrilled to have 32 sets of these new VBC coloured Taylor GTR Bowls for social use. VBC emblem on them too! NZCT granted us $14k, with the $6K remainder paid between Gary Ruane of Metroclad, Gary Lawson of Natural Living Homes, and Nilesh Patel from Taylor Bowls NZ.

Lots of rain over recent days, and not a great forecast anyway, so the greens are closed this weekend. Unfortunately that means the Ready To Roll open bowls day on Sunday isn’t happening.
Well done to Marcus Ruane for winning in the College Sport Wellington bowls. He won the Judy Howat Cup triples, playing with other promising young bowlers, Marshall Kenny and Lily Signal. They were playing for Upper Valley who won the overall title.

1pm this Sunday we are open for the Bowls Wellington “Ready to Roll” day, which is for people wanting to try lawn bowls. Anyone who has played before is welcome to come up for a game too. Good news! The club has obtained a well overdue new pool table, and also new gas heaters (upstairs & downstairs). Tip: The gas heaters have a label on the cord that describes how best to turn them off.
