Indoor Bowls vs Johnsonville

On Wednesday 18 September at 6PM we have an indoor bowls competition with a few of our teams from the Thursday night social winter league going up against teams from the Johnsonville club. Come along to watch and support us taking on Johnsonville, then the following week we will compete at the Johnsonville club.

Credit Consultant’s Victoria 2-4-2 Pairs Draw

MENS 21-22 SEPTEMBER 2019 Defending champions Ross Thorn (Naenae) and Bruce Henderson (Johnsonville) will be joined by a host of previous champions for this year’s Credit Consultant’s Victoria 2-4-2 Pairs later this month. 5-time champion Gary Lawson (Canterbury) teams up with Jimmy Pugh (Nelson), and previous winning combinations return including 2017’s Terry Johnson (Manawatu) & Credit Consultant’s Victoria 2-4-2 Pairs Draw

First win as coordinator for Martin

Ray Martin will be returning to the NZ Professional Bowls Association Finals Weekend this time securing his first qualifier wins while also coordinating the local PBA events at the Naenae indoor complex. Martin came close in June to coordinating and winning being pipped in the final of the Scottish Singles to Bay of Plenty’s David First win as coordinator for Martin

Closing Day Pairs

Number one green is still open for us to hold a Closing Day Pairs on Saturday. The format of the pairs competition will be one experienced bowler with one new bowler/social bowler/potential new member. Beni’s business venture launched

The Summerset National Fours champions have been crowned at the Naenae Bowling Club, with New Zealand squad member Mandy Boyd guiding her side of mother and daughter combination Kirsten Edward and Leigh Griffin, along with sister Angela Boyd, to a dominant win against against the well performed side of Margaret O’Connor, Christine Buchanan, Linley O’Callaghan 6th National title in 6 years for Victoria – well done Leigh!
